Handwriting Analysis Letter T: How do you cross your “T”s?

Handwriting analysis: letter t, how do you cross your “t”s.

Hello my friends! Today I am going to talk about the Letter “t” in graphology.

It refers to the will, leadership qualities and intelligence of the person. Letter “t” is one of the most important letters of the superior area of handwriting. A lot has been said about letter t as an indicator of will in individuals. It also provides information on the ability to carry out the goals that have been set, firmness in postures and persistence for the achievement of ideals. But, attention. It is not the only letter that reveals impulse of will. The latter may be observed in other signs and movements: In letter “r”, in the accent mark of letter “ñ”, in the superior angle of letter “s” and in the final angle of letter “v” lowercase. In letter “t”, the four movements of graphical space are executed: Up-down, left-right.

Handwriting Analysis Letter "t"

Letter T is conformed by a cross that is composed of: A stroke moving from the top downwards vertically that we call upper extensión or stem and the t-bar, which is the horizontal stroke from left to right. In graphology, letter T is studied in both strokes. The stem or upper extensión and the bar. The stem, from the psychological point of view , symbolizes the energy with which the individual affirms his personality , firmness in conviction, personal assurance and flow of energy in projects. The t-bar represents the will with which the individual moves forward upon the obstacles that are in front of him and the energy used to impose his personality. Drawing the bar takes effort and attention. It is a conscious process that contributes to the legibility of the letter.

Letter T: Graphology & Handwriting

Handwriting analysis: letter t.

letter t graphology

When it comes to graphology, there are many elements to be taken into consideration when analyzing one’s handwriting.

Individual letters, as well as words and phrases, these can be turned into features that the writer has, with or without his or her knowledge.

The letter ”T” belongs to the upper zone of the alphabet, and it can be interpreted by the strokes.

Tall letter "t"

tall letter t graphology

If the main stroke of the letter ”t” is tall this means the writer is ambitious and has high goals to achieve many things in life, but if the stroke is excessively high it can mean the writer wants to achieve goals which are impossible to achieve, or unrealistic.

Loops on curves on the letter "t"

loops on curves on letter t graphology

If the main stroke has a little loop or turning curve in the peak this reveals a person who tries really hard to find imagination, but usually without any result.

The bar crossing on the "t" is low

bar crossing on t is low graphology

If the letter "t" cross bar is low (below the middle zone) this means that the person fears change. Although at times their self confidence is admirable, it doesn't always enable them to at achieve their set goals. They might, for instance, take harmful risks or underestimate or misunderstand people and situations. Until age thirty-one they might seem intense. They would like to take more chances and challenge themselves in new areas to develop their feeling of purpose.

The "t" cross bar is increasing from left to right

t cross bar increasing from left to right graphology

If the crossbar goes up from left to right it is a sign of ambition and positively. If the bar is raised from the stem and also going upwards, it is a sign of intelligence, good logic and leadership qualities. This was mainly about the orientation of the crossbar, but its position on the stroke can also deliver the writer’s features.

The crossbar is low but the stem of the "t" is tall

crossbar is low but stem of t is tall graphology

If the crossbar is set low, close to the stem this means the writer is setting goals, even though he or she can do a lot more in life. This writing signifies that this person has many goals in life. These people are magnetic and exciting, and may make friends with others easily. Although, they're in great demand, they may have a problem in choosing someone to marry. This is because they have incredibly high goals. They need somebody that is passionate and encouraging, but have to be careful for jealousy and controlling behaviour.

High crossbar on the letter "t"

high crossbar on letter t graphology

Is a sign of low self-confidence and superiority complex. If the bar is set close to the peak, then the goals are set up high. This is not yet a sign if the writer is able to achieve those goals or not, but only the idea that the goals are high and probably hard to achieve, but nonetheless possible.

Crossbar above the stem on the letter "t"

crossbar above stem on letter t graphology

If the crossbar is above the stroke, like it’s not a part of the letter. In this case, the writer has set goals which cannot be achieved, whether because of the inability or the lack of means to do it.

Letter "t" is like a star

letter t is like a star graphology

If letter ”T” is written in the shape of a star this means the person writing it is responsible and knows how to take care of problems. Even though this letter says many things about a person it is also important to realise that this letter can mean the person. A word says more than one letter, so a better reading will be obtained by combining the two.

Crossing the t’s

Crossing the t’s

When confronted with the easily refuted argument that handwriting analysis is ineffective because similarly educated people’s scripts are bound to be identical or nearly identical, a well-versed graphologist can point to the enormous variation found in the formation of the letter t as a powerful example that refutes this misconception. The different size, shape, and construction of this letter, even when compared to the handwriting of close family members, classmates, and other similar social groups, is a graphic representation of the function played by personal taste and judgment in our script.

You would believe that penmen who like the italic-style of script (which adheres to strict construction and proportion standards) are an exception to the preceding example, but you’ll notice that personal preferences can creep into even the most formalized writing. Every person comes up with their own solution to the t-problem.

By the time you’ve finished reading about this useful letter formation, you’ll be wondering how graphologists would function without the small t to assist them in so many ways.

In handwriting analysis, the little letter t is most likely the most crucial structure. There are several reasons for this. For starters, it has symbolic meaning since it precedes the Definite Article (THE) in English, which grammarians name the Definite Article (THE). Not surprisingly, English-speaking graphologists have focused a lot of interpretation on this key letter, just as French graphologists have spent a lot of time studying the small letter 1 that appears in front of the French Definite Article (le, la, les), and German graphologists have spent a lot of time studying the small letter d. (der, die, das, den, dem, des). Not unexpectedly, there is a lot of information regarding the minuscule letter t’s uses and meanings; other letters, on the other hand, appear to be nearly forgotten.

The letter t represents a natural break in writing; when it is crossed, the writer has the unique opportunity to form a line that does not have to connect to the letter before or after it; in fact, the t-bar can go in any direction the writer chooses – up, down, or even backwards – and can be placed low or high according to his sense of proportion. It is the flexibility with which we constructed this letter that we are interested in.

We may learn a lot about a writer’s mental power just by looking at the straight strokes that emerge in handwriting. Long straight strokes indicate mental force endurance, whereas heavy or wide straight strokes indicate mental force intensity or power. T-crossings are the most lucrative of these strokes, although any straight horizontal stroke has a similar value. . . t-bars, on the other hand, provide the finest opportunity to view this feature in its purest form, with less influences.

Mental force (or willpower, if you prefer) aids us in not just dealing with present issues and concerns, but also in planning objectives and projecting ourselves into different scenarios. Mental Force can help us achieve our goals, but it is a completely mental capacity that should not be mistaken with any of the physical urges that propel us toward task completion or states of change, as the name implies.

writing analysis letter t

A heavy t-bar crossing denotes a strong willpower. If the stroke length is short, this combination indicates that the writer is capable of exerting a significant amount of willpower – but only for a short time. His imagery and projection abilities are strong, albeit they are likely focused on short-term goals. His demonstrations of mental activity may overwhelm his close companions, but he lacks the willpower to have a genuinely dynamic impact outside of his immediate group.

If the crossing stroke is weaker but longer, the writer’s force of will is correspondingly less – but it is longer, indicating more endurance. This writer isn’t as sure of what he intends as someone who uses heavier crossing strokes. Writers who use lengthy but weak crossing t-bar strokes show a combination of Mental Force and passion (endurance). These writers don’t always have the most mental vigor, but they can focus on their projects for longer periods of time and are more confident of their goals.

Writers that use lengthy and thick t-bars demonstrate Mental Force’s dynamic potency. The willpower of such authors is so strong and long-lasting that it extends to others. Such writers are known for their infectious self-confidence and will to succeed.

Various t-bars are also connected with a slew of other characteristics. T-crossings that bend or bow suggest that Mental Force is being diverted in some way. These distractions might come in a variety of forms.

A turning back or back-to-self stroke denotes egocentricity, or a desire to be acknowledged by others (which may point to personal insecurities). This sort of stroke can also be seen in other formations, such as the last strokes of words or characters, as well as decorations, ornamentation, or underlining (in severe circumstances).

Convex t-crossings imply self-control; this stroke is a visual sign that the writer is attempting to correct a self-perceived flaw. Concave t-crossings, on the other hand, suggest a real diversion of purpose – a shallowness of mental drive that might imply that the writer is either lazy or scared of responsibility in achieving his goals. If this feature is strongly shown in either case, it may suggest the type of person who is capable of throwing in the towel and abandoning projects if the effort no longer appeals to him.

T-crossings that fly away from the upright stem imply haste on the part of the writer, a proclivity to go on without thinking. Stroke-by-stroke analysts associate this symptom with actual rage, which may or may not be overtly exhibited (depending on other indicators present).

writing analysis letter t

T-crossings with barbed or pointy ends denote sarcasm (wounding criticism and invective comment which is intended to hurt). Traditional graphologists link this sign with malice, however stroke-by-stroke analysts feel it is a self-defense mechanism based on personal vulnerabilities and concerns.

A propensity to dominate is shown by barbed t-crossings angled downwards. The author wants to force his will on others, but he lacks the mental clarity and dynamism to do it effectively. With sarcasm and stinging comments, he hides his lack of understanding and knowledge (and unconsciously displays his dissatisfaction).

A tendency to dominate is indicated by t-crossings without barbs that angle downwards. This writer still relies on others to carry out his wishes, but he can better direct them than the domineering writer, so he doesn’t feel the need to force them.

T-bars that trail behind the vertical stem imply purposeful procrastination. The writer who procrastinates does so because he or she is afraid of failure or some other form of insecurity.

Self-castigation is shown by t-crossings that lash back, mental force turned upon the subject. When this personality feature is well-developed, a writer will (often erroneously) blame themselves for errors and wrongdoing. It’s usually a sign of guilt: the writer wants to punish himself for some fault (real or imagined), and he’s looking for ways to do it.

The upright stem retracing signifies a desire for order or self-respect via proper behavior. Writers who have a strong case of this feature aim to live by a self-imposed code of behavior, and they feel good about themselves when they can stick to it. They’re also conscious of their public image and want to show themselves in the greatest light possible. In most circumstances, this is a beneficial feature; nevertheless, in cases of criminal mindset or distorted belief systems, it can assist to reinforce other bad character traits.

Lesson 19: Letter t in Handwriting

“Justice cannot be for one side alone but must be for both” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

They want equal rights for all. Well, they say so.

These people are justice oriented. They want fairness and equality for themselves as well as for others. They agree to the importance of social activities like human rights, fighting for justice and equality. Such things appeal them.

They want themselves as well as others to walk on socially acceptable norms. They might also be among those who fight for the less fortunate or can be involved with people like animal right activists, social activists etc.

Everybody, at some point faces a situation where they have choices that are equally favorable. A person either makes a choice based on his beliefs or based on his instincts. Psychologists term this situation as “cognitive dissonance”.  It is a kind of discomfort experienced by an individual who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values at the same time, or is confronted by new information that conflicts with existing beliefs, ideas, or values. These justice oriented people firmly stick to their beliefs in any situation.

They do not accept partiality even is if it favoring them. They want equality for all. Their only perspective of viewing everything is based on justice and injustice. They over-emphasize on justice for everyone.

Sometimes, these people drag in the justice factor and inflate the situation where only some efficiency is all that is required. Such people can be easily fooled when they are convinced that there is some injustice happening.

Story time!

Once, two cats found a piece of cheese and cut it into two pieces. But one piece was slightly bigger than the other. Both the cats wanted the bigger piece. Then they went to a monkey and asked to sort out the matter. The monkey said, "Don't worry. I'll make both the pieces equal. Then it took a bite from the bigger piece. But this made the other piece larger. So it took a bite from the other piece. This continued till the pieces became very small.  Seeing this, the cats pleaded, "Sir! We are satisfied. Let us have the pieces now." The shrewd monkey replied, "This is my fee for sorting out the problem." Saying this, it he took the remaining pieces and gulped them up.

So we notice how the monkey took advantage of the fact that the cats were focusing on nothing but justice.

Whenever they see injustice happening around them, they make sure to correct it; they give priority to justice and not the situation they are in, during that moment. This extremism in their behavior for justice can be unhealthy for their loved ones too; in the process of doing justice to others they might end up doing injustice to the ones they are responsible for.

Being just is a good thing; but as the saying goes “too much of anything is harmful” may be to others, may be to yourself.

There's something to the saying "dot your i's and cross your t's." Dresbold and Sassi agree that failing to cross your T all the way means you're a procrastinator . Crossing your T high on the stem means you set high goals , while lower placement means you could dream a little bigger.

The placement of the dot can convey quite a bit, according to Dresbold. Direct placement above the stem reveals loyalty. Leftward dots indicate caution and stagnation, with no spontaneity. High and free marks mean you have big ideas — but you're also in a hurry.

The amount of space your script takes up reveals info too. Large printing characterizes attention seekers, while small writing points to a person who prefers staying out of the spotlight. Teeny-tiny scrawl might mean a person's retreating from society completely, Dresbold says.

Which way do your words lean? Right indicates an outgoing, future-directed personality, Sassi says. Left means you're a more reserved observer. As for straight up and down, you're very rational and always think things through, Dresbold states.

Where we place our text can also hint at our state of mind, according to Sassi. Gravitating toward the left of a blank page signals your thoughts are stuck in the past. Clumping text on the right means you're thinking into the future.

signature handwriting analysis

You only write your John Hancock for others, so graphologists think of a signature as a public expression of the self. Legibility indicates you have nothing to hide, while indecipherable script means you don't want others to know what's going on in your head.

Big, full capital letters convey an extroverted showman, but if you use a strong dash, you're trying to keep people at an arm's distance, Sassi says. Dresbold adds that a legible signature that's vastly different from your everyday handwriting means you know who you are, but you're hiding it from others. Finally, a big X doesn't mean you're simplistic: Dresbold says it shows self-destructive tendencies.

personal pronoun i handwriting analysis

Unlike the public ego expressed in the signature, this word is a lot more personal. Sassi says the loops in a cursive capital I can convey a lot about your relationship with your parents , as the upper part represents the maternal while the lower part represents the paternal. The size of the loops — or the bars in a printed I — correspond to the strength of the relationship.

Dresbold also states that a separation of the bars from the stem conveys a divorce or marital instability , a single straight line represents independence, and a lowercase I symbolizes immaturity.

Sassi always asks her business clients to provide a sample of writing with the date on it. How the candidate writes the number two influences her reports: A two with no loop shows someone's good with facts and figures , she says.
